Announcing a New Resource for Genealogists
Nelson (Terry) Hart and his wife Marcia Hart, current members of MCGS, have spent many years researching and compling information concerning Medina County Veterans. This work was part of a larger state-wide project with the Ohio Genealogical Society to document the Revolutionary War Veterans buried throughout Ohio. Eventually, the project included veterans from the War of 1812 and the Mexican-American War.
The Harts have granted the Medina County Genealogical Society permission to provide pdf copies of the three volumes they published. Please note, Volume 2 is a very large file and may take a long time to download depending on your internet access.

Tombstone Inscriptions of Spencer Cemetery
Francis Stuart has submitted this huge and very comprehensive database for us. Right now, it's being indexed, but for the moment, you can view the pdf file of it. In the near future, it will be broken down into several pages, much easier to load. This file will take some time to download, and is very large, so please be patient and allow time for it to load. To view the file, click HERE.
